Please share your favourite management development insight or quote.
There are two basic types of people, those who think that they can do new things and those who think that they cannot. Both groups end up being right.
What kind of person are you?
More about you (Short Bio or any other details you’d like people to know)
Mike left university in 1973 with a first class physics degree and a private pilot’s licence. After 8 years in various research roles, Mike joined Shell in 1981. He worked initially in fuels research, followed by technical roles in commercial fuels and distribution. Since 1992 Mike has been Global Fuel Technical Manager in Shell Aviation. He is an active participant in many industry bodies and steering groups and in 2007 received an IATA award for Outstanding Contribution to the Aviation Industry.
Mike has developed a reputation for entertaining and humorous presentations, in particular, making otherwise dull subjects accessible and engaging. He has always enjoyed writing and recently has had articles on both technical and personal development issues published.
Mike is married with 4 young children, 3 of which are triplets. Outside of work and family life, he is a keen long distance runner with a 2 hour 32 minute marathon to his credit.

I have it on good authority that, now that you've created your profile on the main web page, you can simply go to 'Community/Writers' Group' and register to join. Please give it a try, and let me know if you're still having problems. If so, we'll try another tack. Great pic and profile, by the way! Best wishes. Bob
