More about you (Short Bio or any other details you’d like people to know): In my eclectic career I have been a field scientist, management consultant, writer, lecturer and learning & writing developer. I have written or co-authored more than 40 books and numerous academic and popular articles, as well as developing online and other resources for universities. I run a consultancy, helping others to read and write with greater power and precision. I also head the Royal Literary Fund's Consultant Fellows' Programme, training professional writers to facilitate activities with staff and students in universities.

What I’d like from the AMED network is…: to stimulate thought, co-operation and action, with like-minded colleagues.

What do you do for your own development?: Walk, swim, reflect, meditate (insight, mindfulness) and sub-aqua dive in the sea.
