Probably two Peter Drucker (yes, him again) quotations: "There is nothing so useless as doing efficiently that which should not be done at all", and "Most of what we call management consists of making it difficult for people to get their jobs done." Why these? Because they remind me that management is not about the individual, but rather the diversity of people that we work with empowered to do the right things.

I have a passion for development through coaching and believe that diversity is the strength of every group and every organisation. I've been working in learning and development for over ten years in a large corporate environment and really enjoy the challenges of change.
I'm qualified in MBTI (Step I and II) and am really seeing the power of the the Temperment and Interaction Styles theories in turning potential into performance at all levels of management (and in aspiring managers).
What I’d like from the AMED network is…
Ideas, learning from the experiences and stories of others, insights from colleagues in the same profession and the heads-up on any cutting-edge research that's going on out there.
I'd also like to offer my own insights to those that may also be on the same or similar journey, or with those who are just interested.
What do you do for your own development?
My particular area of focus over the last five years has been in Jungian Type and how that might help the individual manager or groups work better together. I've also been active in talent development (including the design and implementation of development centres) and cultural change programmes (values driven performance improvement).
