I am currently undertaking a PhD, part-time, and am at a somewhat advanced stage. I have been preparing journal articles for international publications along the way so that I can support the Thesis with published content. The greatest challenge I find is in actually commencing a new journal article. Once I have a framework in place and know the key message/s that I want to pursue, and actually start the article, things tend to flow somewhatl. My greatest challenge is that first step.

I would be keen to get input from others' experiences with this ongoing 'temporal blockage' issue!

Hi, David

Once you receive the notes that Linda mentions, please feel free to get in touch with me direct if there's anything you'd like to discuss.

It's good to see what's emerging from our chance meeting in Oxford earlier this year ay the IMCA Business School's graduation ceremony!

Best wishes.  Bob

Hi David,

I will send to you by email notes written by Bob MacKenzie to accompany a 2008 Writers' Group workshop on 'Unblocking our Writing' ‘”What is writing?” means ‘Where and when does writing begin?” [Derrida 1974]. The document also looks at tactics and strategies for dealing with Writer's Block.

Kind regards,

Linda
