A framework for me is the collective learning and intelligence we agin from collaborative processes. Some quotes I like: 'Conversation is the natural way we humans think together'.
'We can't be creative if we refuse to be confused'.
'There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about'.
What kind of person are you?
More about you (Short Bio or any other details you’d like people to know)
I've been self-employed as an organisational consultant since 1997. I work mainly in the non-profit sector and love what I do. I feel privileged that I can work in an area where I contribute to positive social change and also grow personally through the work I do. I'm interested in arts and creative approaches that bring colour and texture to organisational work, and spent 9 days last year on mask making as a form of personal development. I have 2 grown up children who are making their way in the world. I'm interested in supporting young people to discover their talents and make their mark. I sing in a community choir. I'm exploring what it means to become older and play a different role - from warrior to midwife maybe? I lived in Berlin for a year recently and would love to do more work there if the opportunity arose.
What I’d like from the AMED network is…
Interesting discussion with like minded people, and creative debate with non-like minded people! Recommendations for reading & other resources. Sharing talents & interests in informal workshops. Opportunities to publish short pieces of writing.
What do you do for your own development?
Last year I did 9 days mask making over the year with a Jungian/Gestalt practitioner.
Bi-monthly Gestalt 'Renewal group'.
6 weekly meetings with 3 peers where we share work we're doing, give each other feedback, support, challenge etc.
ODiN/occasional CIPD workshops
