We have the following dates and venues booked for our gatherings in 2012. Please put them in your diary now. The next step is to pencil in provisional names and topics. So if you'd like to offer to lead a session, or to propose a topic or possible facilitator, please get in touch.
Unless otherwise stated, we meet on Fridays, six times a year, at Roots and Shoots, London SE11, near Waterloo Station, http://www.rootsandshoots.org.uk/home.php between 1.15-4.30 pm. We welcome offers to facilitate sessions. There is a small charge of £12.50 per head for Networkers and Guests (£10 for full AMED Members), to cover the cost of venue hire.
Scheduled AWG dates for 2012 (more details forthcoming)
A typical 'agenda' might look something like this:
o Welcome and catch-up
o Introduction to Theme of the Day and /or agenda-building
o Equal air time - Following our interests (often in smaller groups, or individually)
o Sharing reflections in the large group
o AWG business (brief)
o Continuing the conversation afterwards in a nearby pub, wine bar or café.
Do come and join us. We are a friendly, open, informal and generous community. We are serious about our interest in writing, and we also enjoy having fun together. We are always looking for opportunities to support and celebrate each other’s writing projects and interests as critical friends, and we aim to foster greater awareness of the potential contribution of writing to personal, organisational and creative development.
Please feel free to pass on this information to anyone else who you think might be interested. If you'd like to offer to lead a session, or to discuss anything about the AWG, please feel free to contact me.
Best wishes. Bob MacKenzie, Convenor, AWG.
