I was giving some thought to the next steps for the journal and the context to which it belongs.  I wonder if a big picture may help, so that, as we #GoWithTheEnergy!, our efforts join up and support…Continue

I support your thought Andrea about an external blog - certaily something that could have perhaps an agreed frequency and perhaps a roster of authors who agree to a short 'thought of the month' or somesuch. . . could be a reflection on an AMED or other event attended - something practical and/or a 'provocation'.

If you would like to become more involved with e-O&P please contact one of us on the e-O&P editorial board as soon as possible. We’d love to hear from you. David McAra and Bob MacKenzie have been working on e-O&P since 2009.

See David's article on 'What next for e-O&P? An insider account of change at the AMED journal 2009-2020' on page 70 in the latest Autumn/Winter 2020 edition of e-O&P. As a companion piece, Bob traces his evolving practice as commissioning editor of e-O&P and it echoes David’s call for a fresh generation, well versed in the ways of this digital age, to form the nucleus of AMED’s editorial team.

Sounds wonderful, Julie.  Is it easy to explain what a story circle is?

Comment by Julie Allan on July 17, 2020 at 10:51

I have just emerged from 10 weekdays in an outdoor classroom focused around story circles and how to purpose them as a social prescription that mitigates chronic loneliness.  So, I am catching up with all of this lovely new #GoWithTheEnergy and am considering the benefits of connection, story, sustainability and threshold moments. Big thanks to Hawkwood for being the outdoor classroom - Gary, I recall you connect in there too.  Has made me even more aware of the many worlds that run through the world of AMED.

Hello, John and Andrea, Ruth (Slater) is also interested in blogs.  Maybe there's a link-up there?  Best wishes.  Bob

Hi David and Andrea and everyone who joins in

I like the focus on values and getting the feel right for the organisation going forward.  Also to find some appropriate imagery that we can meld into or on to the text.  And Andrea it is never too late to make suggestions to augment the more devolved structure.  What is it you would like to contribute in the way of Blogs?
sounds interesting!
Best Wishes everyone

Thank you Andrea. Have you tried the Blog Post feature on our website ?

Do you have an external blog platform in mind, for example WordPress?

Comment by Andrea Gewessler on July 13, 2020 at 5:26

I told Linda how sorry I was not to have been able to join.  Much of what the report says resonates with me too, particularly around the importance of values.

It's probably to late to bring ideas in now but I think it would be good to have opportunities to publish more frequently, in terms of blog posts and wondered whether it would be good to have an external blog, not just for fee paying people. Just an idea.
