About 'Writing for connection'
“Writing dates” became important for us when one of us was ill and confined to the house. We used these dedicated times as a way of connecting with ourselves and each other, drawing upon the book “642 Things to Write About: A Journal” by the San Francisco Writers’ Grotto (2011, Chronicle Books LLC)

There will be a space of about half an hour for you to use as you wish to work on your own writing.
About Shelagh and Anna
We are civil partners who share a background in education, learning and development.
On occasions, we have also been work partners. Now Anna is writing a book on professional leadership as well as other freelance work in social work education and research, and Shelagh is doing voluntary coaching with adults and children.
Cost (payable on arrival): £12 for full AMED Members; £15 for Networkers and Guests. This includes light refreshments.
Afterwards, we invite you to continue our connective conversations just across the road at The Ship pub.
RSVP: Please let me know if you're planning to come on 23 October. If you can, please indicate your intentions in the RSVP panel on the right hand side of this Events web page. (Please note that we publicise AWG events on several different platforms, so the number of participants shown here is usually less than the total who are attending).
Best wishes. Bob firstname.lastname@example.org
