Event Description

AMED Writers' Group supporter Douglas Board has sent the following open invitation:

'Sparknow, whom I advise, is a small group of serious-and-fun people who do really interesting organisational work. They're having an ‘active exhibition’ day. I guess this would be the best way to describe it. It’s about stories at work. You can find more details in the following links.
http://www.sparknow.net/stories-in-action.html
and the blog which gives a bit of background:
http://stories-and-organizations.sparknow.net/post/79960920526.'

Sparknow write:

'Stories aren't just for kids. They have a powerful role to play in organizations as a source of insight, as a vehicle for sharing knowledge, as a way of generating energy and enthusiasm, as a means of engagement…

We’re planning workshops to cover five aspects of organizational storytelling:

  • narrative for a change | bringing strategy to life with stories
  • story bones | a narrative approach to engaging with multiple stakeholder groups
  • dramatic shifts | using theatre techniques to prepare and rehearse employee engagement
  • the digital dimension | deploying technology to capture and disseminate stories, with insights into transmedia
  • narrative insight | how a story-based approach can contribute to research and evaluation.'

Please e-mail someone@sparknow.net for more information about this fascinating event.
