Event Description

Your invitation:

Please join us online from 1.30-3.30 pm on 18 February for our first AMED Writers’ Group of 2022, where we’ll begin to anticipate our respective writing projects and enthusiasms for the year ahead.

About our process:

This is a fun workshop where we’ll use creative group journaling - guided writing exercises with discussion - to reflect back on 2021 and look forward to 2022, helping us to set our intention for the year ahead in the form of a theme. Read more about Creative group journaling here: https://www.cpsdayoff.com/post/how-to-get-more-connected-and-be-more-authentic More about themes here. https://www.cpsdayoff.com/post/howtohaveagreat2022

It’s not about creating resolutions or goals, though these do have their place. It’s more about capturing a feeling or a tone that can guide our decisions and help us feel that, whilst we might not always be behind the wheel, we’re at least in the front of the car.
Free writing is a great tool for self-discovery, uncovering new insights and perspectives and a lovely way to celebrate your ‘you-ness’. No writing talent, knowledge or experience – and definitely no grammar – are required.

Claire writes:

I’m a Writing and Journaling Facilitator and Coach who helps people find, come back to and express themselves through writing. I've been running writing workshops since 2018, and I’m also a member of the AMED Writers’ Group.

You can find more info about me at https://www.cpsdayoff.com/

Bob on the AMED Writers’ Group (AWG):

I'll also reporting briefly on ideas and suggestions that we've received for future AWG sessions and themes about AMED's future in 2022 and beyond in the context of AMED’s uncertain future, and inviting your comments and suggestions.

This typically open and informal gathering is a wonderful opportunity to meet old and new friends who are interested in writing, reading, listening, conversations, diversity, solidarity and conviviality in any form.  Everyone is welcome, so please feel free to spread the word.

Cost:  Participation is free.

RSVP: If you’d like to join us, please let me know by 16 February (earlier if possible).  You can also click on the RSVP panel on the right-hand side of this Events web page. Once you’ve registered, I’ll send you a Zoom link to join our AWG meeting a day or so beforehand.

Best wishes. Bob bob@amed.org.uk
