What would it take? Not just your competent, professional self but your whole, human being?
We hope you will join us to continue our conversation about change in organisations. If you managed to watch the (long but worthwhile) video, 'Reinventing Organizations' a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gcS04BI2sbk">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gcS04BI2sbk>, recommended by Ross, you may recognise this as one of the three characteristics shared by the 20 outstanding companies researched by Frederick Laloux. The other two characteristics were self-management and evolutionary purpose.
Laloux is optimistic on the grounds that we have successfully transformed our organisational paradigm in the past and he sees evidence of a new transformation in progress.
Let's join in with this optimism and enquire into each other's experience of being our whole selves at work. I know there have been times like that for me. Perhaps, for you, it's every day. How can we help to make it the norm for all of us?
We will try a different format for our discussion: after the introduction, the first half of the evening will be devoted to spending time in smaller groups, so we can get to know each other better and be more involved in the discussions. The second half we will be back in plenary session.
