Your invitation

Please join us for the AMED Writers' Group (AWG)’s end-of-year review, anticipations and celebrations, followed by an optional (but highly recommended!) visit to our local pub, just across the Kennington Road.

Our celebrations include (optionally) sharing your Word or Phrase of the Year that for you best reflects a prevalent ethos, mood, or development in 2019.  In any case, please bring along some favourite writing (your own or someone else's) from 2019 to share in pairs or small groups in a 'Private Passions' session.  You might bring an artefact, a recording (wi-fi is available), an oral account of an experience - anything!  There will be a table to display anything you’d like to showcase.  We'll also be looking forward to our 2020 writing year.

I'll also be reporting on ideas and suggestions that we've received for AMED Writers’ Group sessions and themes for AMED's journal e-Organisations and People in 2020 and beyond, and inviting your comments or offers.

This typically open and informal gathering is a wonderful opportunity to meet old and new friends who are interested in writing, reading, listening, conversations and conviviality in any form which is in service of personal, organisational, management and/or creative development.

Cost (payable by cheque to the AMED Office, amedoffice@amed.org.uk, or by BACS here, or on arrival):  £12 for full AMED Members; £15 for Networkers and Guests.  This includes light refreshments, and you are welcome to bring some optional festive nibbles to share.

Everyone is welcome, AMED Member or not, so please feel free to spread the word.

RSVP: If you can, please indicate your intentions by 6 December (earlier if possible) in the RSVP panel on the right-hand side of this Events web page. Please note that we publicise AWG events on several different platforms.  So the RSVPs you see on this web page do not necessarily represent everyone who is coming.

We look forward to seeing you on 13 December. Best wishes.  Bob bob@amed.org.uk.
