What do we know about spiritual intelligence in leadership?
Intrigued? If so, you might wish to glance at Sarah Alexander's (2014) book 'Spiritual Intelligence in Leadership'. Sol has also just published a relevant article in the Winter 2014 edition (Vol 21, No 4) of AMED's journal e-Organisations and People with the title 'New coaches needed: evidence of vertical learning required'. (For a free copy, click Vertical learning). However, you may simply prefer to wait to to discover more. Sol will be facilitating this session for the AMED Writers' Group, drawing upon his own particular interpretation of both spiritual intelligence and writing, and will say more about this here in due course.
During the session Sol will facilitate an exploration of
Sol will also outline several executive coaching case studies linking high SQ with business performance.
Sol writes ...
'After twenty four years of coaching senior executives and leaders in the UK, Europe and Australia, the question that keeps me (now in my 70s) going is “How is it that the cadres of MBAs and the legions of Graduates and Post Graduates from our most notable universities, who must by now exercise considerable influence in the Western World’s Financial, Political and Commercial organisations, have produced and colluded with the levels of dysfunction we are currently experiencing?”
My coaching uses a developmental model that clarifies clients existing level of development and opens the door to higher stages which significantly enables senior executives and leaders to create more resilient and coherent organisations better able to cope in a volatile, uncertain and complex operating environment.
I have degrees in Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, and Psychology and am a Fellow of the Association of Professional Executive Coaches and Supervisors and a Fellow of the RSA. You can contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.'
Cost (payable on arrival): £12 for full AMED Members; £15 for Networkers and Guests. This includes light refreshments.
Afterwards, we invite you to continue our imaginative conversations just across the road at The Ship pub.
If you are planning to come, please reply - by Wednesday 16 September - earlier if possible - in the RSVP panel on the right hand side of this Events web page. Please note that we publicise AWG events on several different platforms. So the RSVPs you see on this web page do not represent everyone who is coming.
Best wishes. Bob email@example.com
