Event Description

Your invitation:  Please join in this vital conversation, facilitated by Bridget McKenzie, founder of Climate Museum UK (CMUK).  The workshop will offer some imaginative ways to approach and explore the Climate & Ecological Emergency, its impacts on you, your communities and organisations. This event is made possible through the initiative of AMED’s Shelagh Doonan, and is part of AMED’s programme exploring Urgent Societal Issues. We’re extending the invitation beyond the AMED Writers’ Group to include everyone else within the AMED community who is interested.   Spaces are limited to 25 participants on a first come, first served basis, though we’ll keep a waiting list.  This is likely to be the first of several such conversations.

Our process:  Bridget will introduce the work of the Climate Museum UK, and offer a range of activities and prompts to catalyse our conversations, thinking, writing and possible actions.   We plan to record the workshop so that we can include some excerpts in AMED’s YouTube channel & website

Cost:  On this occasion, there is no charge for participating.  Bridget is offering her services for this event pro bono, and AMED is making a donation to the Climate Museum.  However, if you would like to support their work personally, you, too, are welcome to make a voluntary donation direct to the Climate Museum via their Just Giving link.

About CMUK:  CMUK is a mobile and digital museum stirring and collecting responses to the climate and ecological emergency. A team of creative people based in the UK, passionate about the planet, we produce and gather art, objects, ideas, games and books, and then use these to activate people. These activations help people to play, make, think and talk about the Earth crisis and to open their imaginations to possible futures. See more on climatemuseumuk.org
