This training day will help you convey your key points to the media in a successful way. You will learn to examine in detail who you are targeting, what their key-drivers are and what motivates them to change. The day will also look at the importance of non-profit lobbying for affecting policy. You will do this by analysing successful lobbying and advocacy campaigns. The course is a lively mix of information, group exercises and peer led analysis. You will be given plenty of opportunity to look deeply at your campaign and learn how best to move forward with it.

• Concepts of framing & messaging
• How they relate to advocacy, lobbying and campaigning
• Influence political processes
• How the Lobbying Bill will affect your organisation

It is especially helpful for those in NGOs, not for profit, the third/voluntary and public sector.
