Event Description

What's involved

Aspects of group dynamics are highly relevant to facilitation.  The best way to learn how groups interact is to take part in a group experience.  Through the good offices of Tim Thomas, we have arranged this four-week experiential group in which between six to 10 participants can explore group dynamics in action.  Tim has wide experience of conducting groups in various settings including hospitals, prisons, psychotherapy training institutions (including the IGA) and schools.

This is an initial taster experience for a small group, whose members are interested in group dynamics, meeting once a week over four x 1.5 hour Wednesday morning sessions . (Subsequently, if there’s sufficient interest, there's the possibility of moving on to a more extensive and intensive programme).

Tim has designed this offering specially for AMED Members, Guests and Networkers.  Each session is unstructured, allowing participants to develop their trust, empathy and management skills and improve their understanding of themselves and others.  NB: Group members contract to attend all four sessions.

When and where?

Four sessions, every Wednesday, from 8.30-10.00 am between 26 February and 18 March 2020, at the Institute of Group Analysis.
