Please join us for the AMED Writers' Group (AWG)'s annual end-of-year celebrations, followed by a visit to a local pub (The Ship) if you can linger.
Our celebrations include sharing our writing highlights of 2013, and bringing along some favourite writing (your own or someone else's) to share in small groups in a 'Private Passions' session. We'll also be looking forward to our writing year in 2014.
We'd love to hear your ideas and suggestions for AWG sessions in 2014 - and beyond - and we'd welcome offers to facilitate any of these.
This typically open and informal gathering is a wonderful opportunity to meet old and new friends who are interested in writing and conversations in any form.
You needn't necessarily think of yourself as 'a writer'. Perhaps you see yourself rather as a reader of writing, or as an occasional writer, or as someone who senses that writing in some form or another matters for who you are or aspire to become. Or maybe you'd prefer to think of this gathering as an opportunity for conviviality, experimentation, and pleasure arising from our shared if diverse interests in writing of any kind .
You are most welcome, whether or not you’re a paid-up AMED Member, and please feel free to spread the word.
Watch this space for more information.
Cost (payable on arrival) - Full AMED Members: £10; Networkers and Guests: £12.50
You are welcome to bring your own lunch. Tea, coffee and water will be served. Small contributions of biscuits or mince pies would be an added bonus :).
An even more informal get-together just over the Kennington Road at the local Ship Inn here.
I look forward to seeing you on 13 December. Meantime, please let me know whether or not you’re planning to join us, and don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions, comments or suggestions.
Best wishes. Bob
