How can we tap creativity inherent in ourselves and others? Drawing on our creative imagination, in which writing can play an important role, enables us better to facilitate our personal and professional projects, and our collaborations with client organisations. Employing the latest scientific analysis of the imagination as brain function, this highly participatory workshop is facilitated by two of our favourite Canadian visitors. It offers you a foundation for engaging with your creative processes, a methodology for making use of your creative imagination, and practical applications to assist your work.
About our facilitators
Lin currently lives in Canada. She consults in the private, public and voluntary sectors in Canada and in the UK. All of her work in change management is based on the belief that if people feel safe, they have the capacity to dream. And it is that dreaming that will change their lives, their organisations and perhaps the world. She has two life-long passions. One is the health sector – because it is so complex, always changing, and there are never any easy answers. The other is theatre and the arts, because there is something in the artistic endeavour that has managed to outlast every type of government and business.
Lin has a long standing association with AMED and in particular with the AMED Writers Group. It’s one of the things she misses most about the UK. So, whenever she can, Lin tries to organise her trips across the pond to coincide with AMED Writers’ Group meetings.
Ron has spent over thirty years in professional theatre, as a playwright, producer, and director. He is presently pursuing his passion for the creative process at the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada, where he is completing a PhD, focusing on the neuroscience of the imagination and the creative process.
