I practice what I preach - applying your own knowledge and skills to your personal life isn't easy, and I have used these techniques to radically change my life for the better, bringing me here to New Zealand where my quality of life is much better and all things people oriented are new, giving huge potential to practice in this sector.
What I’d like from the AMED network is…
Inspiration, ideas, encouragement, to give and receive.
What do you do for your own development?
Interact with people who can teach me so much more, evening classes, reading, researching, facilitating the PDaPP group on Linkedin - Positive Psychology. Website evolving....
The session went really well on Friday...great bunch of people. The ethos of improv is very kindred to APP ('yes, and...', honouring the offer, move the story forward, etc.)...I led a group of exercises designed to have the students experience being present, open to new ways of thinking, examine the rules they impose on themselves about creativity, and communicating nonverbally. We had a blast.
Any chance of you coming to the Portland AIN conference in November? Then you could see what I'm talking about (applied impro) first hand by the world's experts...
Thank you for your wonderful proactivity. The group 'Full AMED Members Only' is a placeholder for a group which we will start over the next few weeks'. The 'doors aren't open' yet on that group - but once they are, you will definitely be invited to join.
I had a great time in Wellington back in '93. You're based in a gorgeous place!
