Very thought provoking post, Donal. One set of questions I use is around metaphors. If this organisation was an animal, which would it be. It tends to open up a good discussion around attributes (what talents is that animal known for, what are it's…

Sharing materials: Shovelling Mercury

Hi All

Last year I did some work for CEL (Now LSIS) on evidencing how organisations use/don't use organisational learning to improve performance. The piece is called: 'Shovelling mercury with a pitchfork: leaders, led, hearing and what's worth learning at work''
There are 3 assumptions outlined at the start.
It's available as pdf or e-book on my website: www.criticaldifference.co.uk. Click on 'developing innovation capability', which gives you 'Thought Leadership forums', then http://www.criticaldifference.co.uk/Shovelling%20Mercury.html
What do people think? Any insights, any use?
Slan for now Donal

Hi, Donal

Just read your post on Andrew's Discussion.

You'll find the invitation to send a proposal for the November issue of O&P under 'Events'.

Or if it's easier, I'll e-mail you an attachment and you can respond direct.

Best wishes. Bob

Hi, Donal

I'm pleased to see that you're considering writing a piece for the November issue of O&P. Do get in touch if you'd like to chat about your ideas - and maybe come along to the AMED Writers' Group on 21 August, which I'm sure you'll find will spark off some thoughts.

Best wishes. Bob

Hi, Donal

I'm actually in London today - at the Penn Club - from around1300 until 1630 hours, for a meeting of the AMED Writers' Group (see our Events page under Community). If you're around, do drop in. Otherwise, I do come to London from time to time, so I'm sure we can arrange to meet. Best wishes. Bob

Welcome, Donal

I like your questions. Why not have a look at the Writers' Group space? It might be a good place to discuss some of your questions f2f. Best wishes. Bob
