Hi Concepta,

Many thanks for your message Re: the U.K Climate Impacts Programme (UKCIP) training event listing on AMED. Sorry for the delay in the reply but I am working part-time at the moment and so am in the office intermittently. UKCIP is a not for profit organisation whose primary aim is to engage business, organisations and the public with the principles and processes involved in climate change adatation. As part of this function we are running the UKCP09 User Interface training courses to allow professionals (such as those involved in organisational development) to learn how to access data on the likely future climate of the U.K and apply this in risk management and lanning decisions. The fee for the course of £250 per delegate per day (including all materials and food/refreshments) is merely cost covering and so to discount it at all would mean a loss for UKCIP and so is unfortunately not possible. I hope that you will consider allowing the listing to remain on AMED based on its merit for your community.

If you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind Regards,

Antony Thompson

Dear Concepta
last night I received a comment from someone called Lucy. It is clearly spam. How can this be prevented?
Kind regards

Hi Concepta,
Thanks for your comment. Not sure quite what I did - but I appear to have joined the website for a second time!
I got a message that looked like spam and logged in to check it out - next thing I knew I appear to have set up another account. I might try to figure it out when I have some spare time. Must be getting too old for these computer thingies!

Hi, Concepta. I should have said when we spoke. You are an administrator for the O&P for Subscribers and AMED Members Group which means you can invite people when they pay their subscription.
