INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ORGANISATIONAL
SPIRITUALITY JULY 14 – 16
“LIVING SPIRIT IN SELF AND SOCIETY”
What do a radical ex-priest, an ex-racing driver, an
author on the New York Times bestsellers’ list and an
Englishman trained as a Tibetan physician, have in common?
All four are committed to the vision of the 2004 International
Conference On Organisational Spirituality (ICOS) to be run by
The University of Surrey from, July 14 – 16, near Richmond,
Surrey.
The radical ex-priest: Matthew Fox, a postmodern
theologian, will be giving the Public Lecture on the 14th. Matthew
is a world-renowned social and political activist and president
of the University of Creation Spirituality.
The ex-racing driver: Sir John Whitmore has
introduced transpersonal psychology into advanced training for
business coaches. He was recently voted Britain’s top

Tibetan Art of Living” and the “Tibetan Art of Positive
Thinking”.

facilitators.
Why now? Our world is experiencing unprecedented
challenges right now – politically, socially, emotionally,
spiritually. We are at a unique point of transition that gives
us an opportunity to bring compassion, understanding and acceptance
into all aspects of our lives. Our aim is to bring spirituality
in from the esoteric cold into the warm heartbeat of everyday
life. Delegates will leave knowing how and what they can do
to build bridges between the personal world of spirituality
and the spiritual aspects of work, society and culture.
Who is it for? Everyone who is interested
in change, bringing soul back into our fractured lives and workplaces.
Everyone who wants to share the richness of their diverse experiences.
Everyone who wants to discuss and explore the spiritual dimensions
of self and society.
