 AMED – NE Scotland

Wednesday 2 July: Aberdeen

We are looking forward to planning the coming season for our local group.  One of our occasional members said these were her favourite meetings and it was some time before she realised they were different from our usual evenings!  Something about the open-ended possibilities, I think.

Our local mailing list embraces a wide membership from hard-headed pragmatists to those more engaged by ideas from the mystical end of the spectrum.  Discussion is always lively and - on a good night - may get heated!  Our meetings are characterised by variety, curiosity, scepticism, respect and challenge.

You will be welcome if you can make it.  Contact Karen for details.  (Tel. 0845 246 4996)

If you want to set up a local group, you may like to contact:

David McAra (01224 735101, david.mcara@petrotechnics.com) or Terry Gibson (01425 673047, terry.gibson@virgin.net) if you’ve any questions or would like to chat about the experience of coordinating groups.

Concepta Wayment or Heidi Ward in the AMED Office (amedoffice@amed.org.uk) for a list of potentially interested people in your area.

If you like the sound of any of this or have comments or suggestions, please contact
David McAra,
david@mcara.net, 01224 735101.  We meet from 6.00-9.00 pm at
3, The Chanonry, Old Aberdeen, starting with sandwiches and refreshments.  Meetings are informal and friendly.  The cost is £5 for members of AMED and £10 for non-members.

We are interested in organisations, how they work, how they succeed and how they can better fit the people on whom they depend.   Our meetings are inclusive, participative and exploratory
