At
the April AGM, the AMED Council suggested that
members should think about organising networking in
their local area. Gale Burns and Nazreen A Subhan,
rose to this challenge by deciding that what they
really wanted was an opportunity to meet other AMED
members and chat about current issues in their
work. So in July they sent out an invitation to
members in the Greater London area and the home
counties to come and join them to
share interests, get to know each other, imagine and
maybe initiate new AMED groupings, or just for a
coffee/tea with good company in a beautiful London
Square…..
We have now had
four monthly meetings at the cafe in the middle of
Russell Square Gardens. There is no agenda, we
follow the conversation wherever it leads for ninety
minutes. After our last meeting, one of the
participants said she had found the conversation so
stimulating that she was going to return to the
report she was writing and start again from a
completely new perspective.
We will be at
the Cafe in Russell Square Gardens (nearest tube
Russell Square) between 11 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. on
Thursday 22 November and again on Thursday 10
January. Do join us!
