We are interested in organisations, how they work, how they succeed and how they can better fit the people on whom they depend.

Our meetings are inclusive, participative and exploratory. You will be welcome.

A programme for the coming season is being developed.

Check the discussion Forum below for notes on our evening with Mark Lough speaking about Positive Psyhology and Sally Silvers' exploration of Seeing in Relationship.

Dear NE Scotland AMED colleagues

May I please become an honorary member of your group? The chances of my getting to most of your meetings in person are slim. However, I do occasionally cross the border from the uttermost reaches of Southampton on the south coast, where I now live. And my heart is definitely in the Highlands. Moreover, the marvels of modern technology might allow occasional interaction, despite my remoteness from you

Best wishes. Bob

Hi Bob, good to hear from you, it would be delightful to see you in person whenever you actually do make it to Scotland. And I'm sure there are plenty of people needing your special skills up here, writing and otherwise ... and we have a large house and would love to have you stay either side of any visits. Hope you'll see Vic, although he's about to disappear across Africa on a motorbike. Stay cerebral yourself Vic - and upright! cheers, Frances

Frances: Upright AND cerebral?! Steady on!! But thx fr the good wishes. Our 28 October SENG will be on Challenges and the Human Psyche - now there's a reason for Bob to visit!

Dear Frances and Vic

Thank you for your warm welcomes. Definitely an incentive to return to my roots.

Frances - of course we've worked together before on AMED's behalf, and it would be wonderful to renew that kind of contact.

Vic - I don't know if you've picked up that I'm an old Africa hand, and it would be a pleasure to swap tales - cerbral and otherwise (and definitely not upright!).

Best wishes. Bob

A night of yarns on Africa? Perfect. Just say when

PS - www.enduroafrica.com and www.africanmustang.com are next week's challenge

OK, Vic

I was a postgrad at Makerere University College, Kampala (then part of the University of East Africa) from 1966-7, then an Education Officer, Lecturer in the Faculty of Education, and TV researchers and presenter of an educational TV series on the History of East Africa until 1973. I travelled all around East Africa in the course of my work (and playing rugby!). Later assignments in Nigeria, Botswana and other parts of Anglophone Africa on various 'aid' programmes. Age has not dimmed my memories.

Yes - it would be good to talk! I'll let you know when. BW. Bob
