Did You Know ...

There is an old line about 'common sense' - it consists of the things you knew and thought that 'everyone' already knew. So you never tell anyone else.

But, of course, there are a lot of things that we all know as individuals that fall into this category. So this forum is about bringing these things into the light and sharing them with everyone. Some might prove to be well known, some might just enlighten others.

So the challenge here is to be the first to contribute a particular idea / suggestion. But feel free to comment on how useful other ideas have / have not been.

To start the ball rolling....

On-line plastic. Some people are concerned about using their plastic (credit/debit cards) on line. So to minimise the risk take out a new card and keep the limit as small as is practical. Use this and only this for all your on-line transactions. This way if it does go pear shaped - you won't lose a fortune.
