Following the publication of the Spring 2018 edition of e-O&P on ‘Writing and facilitation’, please join us for another highly participative AMED Writers' Group’s (AWG) gathering. Tony, our facilitator this afternoon, contributed an article to this edition. Afterwards, we can make an optional (but highly recommended!) visit to our local pub (The Ship).
‘After a brief introduction to the century of self I want to offer a number of awareness-raising experiments (drawn from James Pennebaker, Julia Cameron and Ira Progoff) into what we say and don’t say when we talk and write (whether on paper or online). After gathering insights from those experiments, we will try out a special micro-system conversation, inspired by the work of Nancy Kline, suspending our personal speaking and listening habits towards roughing out some new creative steps together.’
Everyone is welcome, AMED Member or not, so please feel free to spread the word.
Our typically open and informal facilitated AWG gatherings are a wonderful opportunity to meet old and new friends who are interested in writing, reading, listening, learning conversations and conviviality in any form.
Cost: (payable in advance via the AMED web page by Paypal, BACS or cheque here, or on arrival): £12 for full AMED Members; £15 for Networkers and Guests. This includes light refreshments.
RSVP: If you can, please reply by 25 May (earlier if possible) to reserve your place. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or suggestions, or if you’d like to offer to facilitate a future AWG session.
Best wishes. Bob. E: firstname.lastname@example.org
