Changes finished article.pdfNick Owen http://www.nickowen.net has many stories to tell about how storytelling and metaphor work in organisations.
During this highly interactive session, Nick will facilitate a discussion around questions such as: 'How can storytelling be used in corporate or professional contexts to convey powerful messages, information about oneself and one’s values, or one’s personal brand? In what ways can we explore and utilize the extraordinary power, subtlety, and elegance of telling stories about oneself, one’s experience, and the world we inhabit, in order to create memorable and resonant messages?'
I've attached an article in pdf format from 'Changes Magazine', published by Anglo American Books, which gives a flavour of Nick’s work, and also includes some brief biographical details about him. You may find the text rather faint and dificult to read. However, I decided to include it, in case you find it helpful.
We hope you can join us on 19 June. If you are planning to come, please let me know by Tuesday 16 June if at all possible, either via the RSVP function for this event on this website, or by e-mail. I can then inform the Penn Club about how many people to expect.
We look forward to seeing you on 19 June. If you'd like to post some comments beforehand, or in lieu of attending, please go to our discussion on http://www.amed.org.uk/group/amedwritersgroup/forum/topics/storytelling-and-metaphor-in.
Best wishes. Bob
