Please join us for another engaging and exploratory AMED Writers’ Group workshop. We'll be adding more information later.
John Sweet is one of the UK’s leading exponents of Reflective Journaling (RJ). In 2013, he facilitated a well-received taster session for the AMED Writers’ Group, using Ira Progoff’s distinctive approach to journaling. In November 2016, John presented and demonstrated some of his own fresh RJ ideas and approaches to the International Consortium of Educational Developers in Cape Town. Now, following a growing collaboration with Bob, we would like to share our reflections on how RJ methods and processes can have even more contemporary relevance in addressing issues that arise in an increasingly VUCA world. A significant development is the more explicit advocacy of an appreciative inquiry (AI) approach, which is widely used in OD, action research and action learning, amongst other contexts, and an emphasis on self-directed learning.
In this highly participative taster session, you will have an opportunity – through writing and dialogue - to explore and assess the potential of this creative and hopeful RJ approach for your own and other people’s development and practice.
Cost (payable in advance on the AMED web page by Paypal, BACS or cheque here, or on arrival): £12 for full AMED Members; £15 for Networkers and Guests. This includes light refreshments.
Everyone is welcome, so please feel free to spread the word.
RSVP: If you can, please reply by Friday 10 February (earlier if possible). Please note that we publicise AWG events on several different platforms. So the RSVPs you see on the AMED web page do not necessarily represent everyone who is coming.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or suggestions.
Best wishes. Bob. E: email@example.com
