Pre-Copenhagen Cafe Conversation

Event Details

Event Description

Meet up informally at this pub (the Rising Sun, Clothfair, Barbican, London), to network and discuss implications of the climate summit in Copenhagen.

There will be some tables reserved for us - buy your own drinks and food, and join Sustainable Development Network members and guests.

There's no charge to come along - but please RSVP so that we have some idea of numbers.

Looking forward to meeting you there!

The RSVPs have come in through a range of media, and not all of them appear on this site. As well as John Wilkes, we're expecting Richard Poynton, Tony Emerson, Val Tomlin, Julian Burton and Caroline Coyle.

There's room for more, so please join us if you are able.

choice of venue for events? a good q which developed lots of discussion - where geographically, supporting local urban facilities, lack of noise, obvious sust. criteria
an interesting event , opportunity to meet fellow spirits

Great meet-up everyone, thanks for coming along!

We've got some comments here (below) posted by Louise, Nazreen, Tony and myself live during the meeting (Wow!).

It'd be great to hear any comments or views on venues, future meetings, and of course your hopes for Copenhagen.

I've blogged a bit about my ambivalence - do I want to think about Copenhagen and follow what's happening, or do I want to ignore it?

It reminds me of watching Dr Who from behind the sofa.
